WEEK 1 FYP 2

Title of activity:

Research on the circuit

Objectives:

To make a clearer vision on what circuit that i will be use.

Content/Procedure:

1. Since this week is the first week of new semester, I got a lot of issue with my time table. Hence, I don't have too much time to meet my advisor.

2. But, although I got a lot of things to be done by week 1, I still make a research on schematic circuit through the internet, reference book at library and also asking to my friends.

3. Based on my research i need to find the PIC 16F877A circuit which is can control my project and motor driver circuit to control direction of motor. Circuit of PIC i use the common circuit but i add on some switch and lcd panel in the circuit as input and output for this project.

4. Then i find H-bridge circuit that use L298  as my ic motor driver and i need to construct the circuit based on data sheet that i got from the internet at website solarbotic.

ANALYSIS:

This circuit of motor driver L298 is important to control the direction of motor for movement of wheel and the movement of reclining part.  I choose, the stage of motor operated can see by the blinking LED as an indicator in this project. I try stimulate in multism and look the output before use in my project. after that i know this circuit is suitable with my project.

All the program will be setting in Proteus by using this schematic that contain PIC circuit to run the program.  From the beginning there have mention about the wheelchair need the instruction from the user to operate the wheelchair. Therefore the programming is needed in this project. The microcontroller is using to program the project by using assembly language. The project is start when the user gives their instruction using switch whether to move the wheelchair or to recline the wheelchair. Then the programming is needed to run the dc motor. The dc motor is controlled by using H bridge circuit like i said before.

Conclusion:

The simulation of this circuit is going well, Alhamdulillah so i will use this circuit in my project.
